• Visual Profile & Attributes

Cacus was depicted as a grotesque, half-human monstrous giant who exhaled deadly flames and pitch-black smoke directly from his lungs. His shadowy lair on the Aventine Hill was notorious for the macabre display of human skulls and severed limbs nailed above its entrance.

• Combat Abilities & Weaknesses

Special Abilities: He could instantly engulf entire caverns in dense, choking smoke and intense fire, completely blinding his prey. He possessed brute physical power and deceptive intelligence.
Weaknesses: Lacks defense against overwhelming divine physical strength. Blinding smoke becomes useless once his enclosed cave structure is broken open to daylight.

• Mythological Record

Recorded in Roman lore by poets such as Virgil and Ovid, Cacus famously encountered Hercules returning with the cattle of Geryon. Cacus stole eight cows and pulled them backwards into his cavern to trick the hero. However, as Hercules led the rest of his herd away, the hidden cattle inside the cave bellowed back. Hercules stormed the mountain, tore open the rock roof of the cave, and choked Cacus to death in a dramatic battle.
