Identity & Origin

Known in the ancient tongues as the Succubus, or Succuba (she who lies beneath), this entity belongs to the demonic humanoid class. Born of the darkest mythological depths, it has haunted the nocturnal realm of mankind for centuries.

Visage & Dimensions

To mortal eyes, she manifests as an impossibly beautiful, seductive woman, perfectly tailored to disarm any resistance. Yet, when the shadows deepen and her true demonic form bleeds through, one might glimpse leathery bat wings, a pointed tail, small horns, or cloven hooves. Standing roughly the height of an average mortal woman (160-170cm), her presence fills the room.

Domain & Haunting Grounds

Though her true origin lies in the Underworld and Hellish planes, she makes her true home within the subconscious minds and deep dreams of humanity. Historically haunting Medieval Europe, she stalks the midnight hours, making the sacred space of a mortal's bedroom her hunting ground.

Nature & Lethality

She weaves her way into the dreams of slumbering men, wrapping them in an irresistible, euphoric seduction. Her ultimate goal is to siphon their life force and vital essence. Though she bears little overt physical malice, her danger level is catastrophically high. The sweet venom of her pleasure paralyzes the victim, stealthily drawing their life away. (Her male counterpart is known as the Incubus).

Dark Arts & Frailties

She wields horrifying power over the mind: mastering dream manipulation to assume the form of one's ultimate desire, enacting mind control that shatters rational thought, and draining a mortal's soul through a mere kiss. However, she shudders in the presence of unyielding faith. Absolute moral asceticism, holy water, crosses, and sacred relics blind and bind her, severing her dark tethers.

Should the most perfect, captivating woman appear in the mists of your dreams, whispering irresistible promises, you must recognize the illusion. Summon every ounce of willpower to awaken. Keep a steadfast mind, and let sacred symbols guard your rest. Legend tells us that these tales arose in the Middle Ages to explain sleep paralysis and sudden deaths in the dark. Many occult scholars whisper that 'Lilith'—Adam's banished first wife who embraced the abyss—was the very first, and most terrifying, of their kind.

Qingxu Daode Zhenjun (清虛道德真君) Alternative Names (異名): 清虛道德真君, Qingxu Daode Zhenjun Qingxu Daode Zhenju (Chinese: 清虛道德真君; Pinyin: Qīngxū Dàodé Zhēnjūn) a character featured within the famed ancient Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods. Daode Zhenjun is the renowned superiorman of Mount Green Top, Purple Cave. At one point in time during the Yang Ren incident, Zhenjun would realize that Yang Ren's time is not yet over, and he thus needs to exist for a longer period of time. Due to this, Insouciant would unleash his Yellow Kerchiefed Genie to scoop up Yang Ren and effectively bring him to his mountain by creating a large dust storm.
