Dwelling where the moonlight graces the ancient pines and secluded waters, the Moonshade Woman is a humanoid Yokai of mesmerizing beauty and formidable supernatural presence.

Appearance
A beautiful woman in her twenties. Black hair laced with silver that turns to translucent mist under the moon. Her deep navy eyes hold crescent moons when she feels strong emotions. She floats just above the earth in dark, elegant garments.

★★★★★ (4/5) - Extremely Dangerous
Aggressive only when her sacred domains are desecrated.

Nature & Size

She stands between 165–175 cm tall in her natural state. Yet, when wrath consumes her or her power awakens, she merges with moonlight and fog, her ethereal form towering up to 3 meters. She does not hunt humans for sport; she has even been known to gently guide lost travelers. But against those who defile her lakes or fell her ancient trees, she is unmerciful.

Gifts of the Moon (Abilities)

Moonshadow: She fragments her form into countless illusions wrought of moonlight.
Voice of Dreams: She weaves the perfect imitation of a voice her victim desperately longs to hear, drawing them deep into the labyrinth of the woods.
Moonlight Passage: Should the moon's rays touch a place, she may dissolve into mist and emerge there instantaneously.
Memory Reading: Gazing into her abyssal eyes allows her to pierce through recent memories and emotional currents.

Vulnerabilities

Without the moon, her grace falters. The blazing sun or a completely obscured night sky strips away her grandest powers. Legends whisper a secret: correctly invoking her true name three times shatters her illusions, leaving her temporarily grounded.

Qingxu Daode Zhenjun (清虛道德真君) Alternative Names (異名): 清虛道德真君, Qingxu Daode Zhenjun Qingxu Daode Zhenju (Chinese: 清虛道德真君; Pinyin: Qīngxū Dàodé Zhēnjūn) a character featured within the famed ancient Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods.
