Nüwa (女媧, Chinese)
Nüwa (女媧), Chinese creator goddess Nüwa (Traditional Chinese: 女媧; Simplified Chinese: 女娲; Pinyin: nǚwā, also Nü Gua or Nügua) is a goddess in ancient Chinese mythology best known for creating mankind and repairing the wall of heaven. Later traditions attribute mankind's creation to either Pangu (盤古) or Yu Huang (玉皇). Nüwa primary sources Nüwa was referred to in many books of songs.
